Exeter City Centre is mainly fairly level walking and has a multitude of shops along the main High Street and adjoining streets. There is a recently developed Princesshay Shopping Centre and easy access to the Cathedral and many historical buildings.

Local buses route through the main High Street. The main Bus Station and Exeter Central Railway Station are only about a 5 minute walk from Exeter City Centre.

If arriving at St Davids Station, there are regular buses just outside, as are taxis, or you will have a 15 minute walk with an uphill climb.

Exeter City Council offer FREE guided walking tours, which operate all year round and only close on Christmas Day and Boxing Days.

They are a great way to explore Exeter. You do not need to book, just choose a tour and meet the Red Coat Guide. Tours last about 90 minutes.
